What cancer treatments are available at Penn Nalam?
We provide diagnosis, surgery, chemotherapy and treatment planning. Diagnostic services include mammography, ultrasound, biopsy, Pap smear and colposcopy. Chemotherapy is given at our Day Care Centre. Your treatment plan depends on the type and stage of cancer and your overall health.
Is radiation therapy available?
Radiation therapy is arranged through our partner hospitals, which offer it at lower costs. Methods include external and internal radiation, 3D conformal radiation, IMRT and radiosurgery. Our doctors will guide you on what suits your case.
Is day care chemotherapy available?
Yes. Chemotherapy is offered through our Day Care Centre, so most patients can receive treatment and return home the same day. The type and schedule are decided by your doctor based on your condition.
Can I use my insurance?

What is a mammogram?
A mammogram is a low-dose X-ray of the breast that can detect changes early, sometimes long before they can be felt. We also offer Hologic 3D digital mammography.
Is a mammogram painful?
You may feel some discomfort as the breast is briefly pressed between two plates to get a clear image. It lasts only a few seconds. If it becomes uncomfortable, tell the technician and they will help.
